ENGLISH AS AN ESTEEMED LANGUAGE IN MODERN SOCIETY

It is general phenomenon that English is one of the most influential languages, which has now become sign of esteem in our society. Beside it, English language has also become a major hurdle in ways of success of many people. The purpose of instant study was to investigate major facets, which are the key pillars to maintain English language as Prestigious Language in our society. For this purpose, a close-ended questionnaire, comprising 20 No. questions, was distributed among 30 persons, who belong to bureaucracy and technocracy i.e., civil engineering. The finding shows that there are various reasons behind this honorable status of English language in our society. In other words, it may be said that English has become one of important components of our educational system, which cannot be neglected. Accordingly, necessary measures may be taken in order to learn and teach English conveniently instead of eradicating it at this belated stage.
